For adoptive parents

We understand that adopting a child to complete your family is an emotional experience. The staff of St. Elizabeth/Coleman wants to ensure that you are offered support, care and compassion throughout the entire process. We offer the following services to help with this momentous event:

• An Adoptive Parent(s) Preparation program to ensure a complete adoption process. This program includes individual interview with adoptive parents, home visit, adoption and parenting training, as well as reference and criminal history check.
• Counseling and support for families wishing to adopt children with medical needs, and transracial and transcultural adoptions.
• Adoptive family support groups to share encouragement and hope with other adoptive parents.
