International Adoption Services
St. Elizabeth │Coleman Pregnancy & Adoption Services is a state licensed, not-for-profit child placing agency. We complete adoption home studies for families throughout the state of Indiana. We have extensive experience in helping families with international adoption home studies. St. Elizabeth│Coleman conducts home studies for adoption of children from Azerbaijan, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Kazakhstan, Russia, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia and others.
The home study is a vital step in the adoption process, completed to ensure a child will be part of a healthy, safe family who will love, nurture and provide for their needs. Adopting a child is a lifetime commitment with special joys and issues. The home study also increases the family’s understanding of the adoption process and parenting of an adopted child. We want to prepare and support the family through the process.
St. Elizabeth | Coleman offers transracial/transcultural parent training. This training is designed to help prepare and educate families on issues such as making the child feel comfortable with himself, his cultural identity and his family, racism, comments and feelings from family, friends and the community. We invite you to attend one of our training sessions. Two sessions are held each year, one in April and the other in November.
